  • If there's a time and a place...

On Tuesday night I went to watch Justin Hayward in concert. It was close and personal, just he and a couple others who backed him up. I found it to be absolutely stunning. A well spent 2 1/2 hours of beautiful music. I wish I could spend much more time immersed in such peaceful pursuit. He wanted it close and personal, and only allowed 1000 tickets to be sold, I was seated about 100 foot away from him, on eye level with no one to block my view and eight seats open to my side.... perfect. I haven't seen him in concert alone before. He was always with the Moodie Blues , which is a beautiful and astounding experience all on its own, but is much more loud, and this time the peaceful gentility of it was wonderful. Western Skies.... I'd love to see it all over again.

  • I love the acoustical sets. I'm not a frequent concert goer except for my son's performances - he is a violist/violinist in the college orchestra. He has a concert on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving... I'm looking forward to that! We usually have good seats and it is satisfying to see all those music lessons put to use!

  • I love the song, the words are so gentle and haunting~~ of how he hears her voice in his dream. Beautiful.
I am sure it was a great pleasure to watch him and hear him play his guitar and sing his song. Many years ago, I had the pleasure of watching Neil Diamond in a similar situation. The whole place was packed, but we were about four or five rows away from the stage, and it was just magical.

  • @ murisopsis I have a friend whose son plays violin in public quite often. During the summer I go out and listen. He's really good. I know watching our young ones perform is great. I used to love watching my daughters dance school productions :) I hope your concert is great !

  • @ ZSA MD I too love Neil Diamond, I would love to have the opportunity to go see him in a close and personal event. He has written some beautiful songs.... I kind of favor his style, and have enjoyed singing his songs for years. My renditions of he and Nat King Cole always seem to get the best response from my audience.

  • aaah, Nat King Cole! I have most of his CDs. I love the way he croons. My favorite!
